Kimberly Sutter, LPC, has always had a passion working with children and their families. The journey began years ago when dealing with difficulties as a teenager in her own family. She had worked in behavior health agencies during and after obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Community Psychology. In 2016, she completed her master’s degree in Professional Counseling. She became fully licensed in 2020. Her experience has been in family violence intervention and substance use programs. She is familiar with working with individuals, couples, and families. Her school based experience has allowed her to grow in working with clients that struggle with depression, anger, anxiety, low self-esteem, self harm, trauma, oppositional defiance, ADHD, divorce, and behavioral issues. Techniques of child-centered play therapy, CBT, mindfulness, anger management, and behavioral interventions are utilized in therapy. Kimberly is able to support a faith based approach to therapy as well as support your religious preference.
It is important to Kimberly to support her clients in their journey to have a better understanding of their own self, their families, and the world around them. She will help clients develop important skills to cope with various struggles and stress in their lives.
Her goal is to help clients achieve the goals set forth for their lives.
Kimberly utilizes family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy depending on the need of the client.
Kimberly enjoys hiking, cooking, painting, music, her dog, and family.
